• Prep your skin: Start with a clean face. Wet your skin with lukewarm water in the shower or at the sink. This softens the skin and makes exfoliation gentler.
• Apply the scrub: Scoop a small amount, about a teaspoon or quarter-sized dollop, of the sugar scrub into your palm. Gently massage it onto your damp face using light, circular motions. Avoid the delicate eye area and be extra gentle around sensitive spots.
• Exfoliate: Massage for 1 to 2 minutes to gently buff away dead skin cells, promote circulation, and allow the natural humectant properties of sugar to hydrate while exfoliating. Use very light pressure. Sugar provides effective yet dissolving exfoliation as the granules break down.
• Rinse thoroughly: Rinse off completely with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. Do not rub.
• Follow up: Apply your favorite moisturizer or serum to lock in hydration and soothe the skin.
